Tip 5 – Optimal Race Pattern

 

A runner tries different patterns and, once he discovers his best one, he practices and uses it in a race.

 

All the following exercises have the same distance and time. The blue pattern is constant pace, the red is negative splits and the green is fast-slow-fast.
